Maya is co-head of the Hi-Tech department and head of the Technology Licensing group. Maya maintains an extremely active intellectual property and corporate transactional practice, possessing a unique specialty in agreements for the research and development, licensing, manufacturing, sale and other commercialization of semiconductors, hardware, software, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical and multimedia products.
Considered a key leader in her field, Maya has year-after-year been included in the IAM Licensing 250 and IAM Patent 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners. With a wealth of experience spanning 20 years, Maya acts for entrepreneurs, start-up companies and hi-tech companies, alliances and joint ventures through the various stages of their development, working closely with her clients to enhance their technology and commercialization.
Maya combines experience in negotiating and drafting technology transactions, establishing joint ventures, fundraising and day to day commercial advice for a range of established clients as well as more than 60 startup companies.
Maya works with technology based companies at all stages of corporate life - from inception to emerging growth through mature companies that are acquired or go public, and understands the needs of young technology companies.
